Bay Towing has extensive roots established in the harbor towage industry going back to the early 1900s.  Bay Towing provided tugs when the Houston ship channel first opened for business in 1914.  The company thrived and continued to provide towage services for many decades and during pivotal moments in the country’s history, including the great depression and both World Wars.  In 1948, C.R. Haden, the son of Captain WD Haden, merged Bay Towing Co. and Houston Towing Co. to form what is known today as Bay-Houston Towing Co.

We are proud of the hardworking heritage that the Bay Towing name represents and pleased to announce the company is officially re-engaging the towing service industry.  Bay-Houston Towing has recently acquired Seabulk Towing operations in Port Arthur, Texas and Lake Charles, Louisiana and have named this new acquisition Bay Towing.

We are excited to enter these established markets and providing our customers a smooth transition and sustainable long-term investment to support growth and efficiencies in these ports.
